When their mentor John Tunstall is murdered in cold blood, William H. Bonney - better known as Billy the Kid - and his cohorts are deputised and sent out to bring the perpetrators in. But when Billy starts meting out a rather more violent form of justice, the men are declared outlaws and a bitter and brutal local war begins. Dodging bounty hunters and militia, Billy has but one goal in mind - to track down the man who ordered Tunstall's killing and exact his revenge.
