While I love Lilli Feisty and everything she writes, I am glad that I read Dare to Surrender before Bound to Please. While there is nothing wrong with Bound to Please, it didn't floor me like Dare to Surrender did.

I thought I was going to have a problem with the age difference, but it was drawn attention to so little that I completely forgot about it. What did get to me was what Mark makes her do with a strawberry. I can't imagine anyone getting pleasure from it.

Moving on. I love Lilli Feisty's erotic scenes. She obviously knows what she is talking about when it comes to BDSM and the like. It makes it that much more believable. However, nothing kills an erotic scene quicker than someone calling the other baby. I hate it more than I hate cheesy pick up lines. I don't know what it is about that endearment, but I feel like it is tainted and trashy.

What really got me about this story, was Mark's love for Ruby. Feisty made him seem so human that it was hard to not feel bad for him while he struggled with keeping his distance. It made him that much more endearing.

Her Husband's Army Buddy (McLeod Security #1) by Doris O'Connor
Her Husband's Army Buddy is the first book in the McLeod Security series, and we meet the owner of the security business, Zane, and his wife, Sandy. Sandy and Zane have been married for 10 years, and are happy. That is until Sean shows up asking if there are any jobs going at Zane's security business. Sean and Zane have a history, and Sandy is worried that she will get kicked to the curb when they reignite their past together. Instead, it is Sandy who is able to bring the three of them together.

This is a fast-paced book, with plenty of steam. It gives a small introduction into the world of BDSM without going into too much detail. It is fairly low angst, although there is the usual stubbornness involved. It starts off the series well, and with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt my reading flow, I have no hesitation in recommending it.

OPEN MIND is the first book in the Kink Chronicles and we meet Jamie and Ronan. Jamie is 28 and has been a travelling nurse for the past couple of years but is now ready to settle down. Ronan has settled down but is in need of a new nurse for his specialised practice!

This story is an interesting mix of being sweet and full of kink! Different kinds of kink so if kink is your thing, there is probably at least one scene in here you will like. As for Jamie and Ronan, I kind of thought they were the perfect pair - once Ronan pulled his head out of his backside! Not every relationship is destined to be monogamous and so long as everyone agrees to that BEFORE anything happens, I'm okay with it.

This was an enjoyable book that moved along at a fair pace. I enjoyed the characters and look forward to reading more in this series.

SHIFTED REALITY is the first book in the Looking Glass Multiverse series and it had everything here that I like - wolf shifters, authors, BDSM - but somehow, this just didn't work for me.

The first half of the book concentrated mainly on Iris and Rogan - so much so that I had to re-read the blurb to remind myself just who this was supposed to be about. Angelique and Rogan don't even meet until approximately 55-60% of the way through the book, and then they pretty much shoot straight for the stars. Who needs to get to know anyone anyway?

My overall feeling when I finished the book was "Is that it?" Although well-written, the parts with Angelique and Rogan felt incredibly rushed and left me with loads of questions that just weren't answered.

Although the blurb of book two sounds good, as well as the epilogue in this book, I don't think I'll bother. I'm sure others will love this book and the series but it's just not for me.

something missing but I don't know what!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarain, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This is part of the Naughty or Nice season three series and can be read as a stand alone to all the other books.

I like my books heavier on the BDSM side, and I'm a fan of the Daddy/little dynamics. For the most part. But something about THIS book doesn't quite work for me, and I've no idea what! So, I'm just gonna leave it at that!

What I DID like, was that what Ziv does was never made fully clear! Oh the hints and clues are there, it says some legal and some not so, but never just WHAT, you know? I was expecting him to be some sort of super secret do-gooder! He's not, but he does throw his money about to get what he wants, and who he wants!

I love that we catch up with Patrick and Akker (Agrippa My Heart) and Jessie and Smithy( His Boy To Tease) The trio of friends are now happy with their Daddies, and all loved up, and I love that they are.

Steamy and smexy, but missing *something* but I don't know what!

3 stars

This is a perfect coffee break book that dabbles with BDSM but doesn't go into too much detail, whilst it is put in a science fiction backdrop.

Chalice is a four-elemental mage but his magic is out of control. In a world where magic users are paired off into dominant and submissive roles, it is usually the strong magic user who is dominant, except in this case. Chalice is a submissive and isn't getting the support he needs at home. This means that he is increasing the risk of his magic being completely out of control, followed by disaster. He decides to strike out on his own and find himself a Master. He finds Terrin - a Master that goes through submissives like water through a sieve. He is intrigued by Chalice though, and is determined to make him his own. These two are more like Partners than D/s, but still, it is a quick, fun and steamy read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novella, complete with the quick world and character-building. I am hoping for more from this series. Smoothly paced and with a hint of things to come, definitely recommended.

A Little Christmas: Sawyer

A LITTLE CHRISTMAS: SAWYER is a homage to one of the ultimate Christmas movies - Die Hard! In it, we have Sawyer and Holly, two littles who spend most of their time without their Daddies. Holly doesn't have a permanent one yet, and Sawyer's is a marine, so not with him most of the time. That's all well and good until a family with a grievance take everyone at the Christmas party hostage.

This is definitely one of the more action-packed Little Christmases and, to be plain, it felt as though a little of the connection between the MC's was lost in the action. It is also heavier on the BDSM side than the others I have read. Whilst a thrilling read, it appears the caring/nurturing Daddies are the ones that tick more of the boxes for me. The pacing and the story arc were smooth, giving you time to get to know the supporting characters and what role they play.

This was still a great story and a wonderful addition to the series. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Something felt a bit off about this second book. I’m not quite sure what it was. There was definitely just as much tension as the first and it most certainly didn’t lack any of the previous intrigue. Throughout this second book, I was just as curious, if not more so, about who the UNSUB could be. The author points the finger in multiple directions, shedding a suspicious light on so many people, it makes me wonder if who the main suspect is really could be the serial killer they’re all looking for. My aggravation is probably a little higher, but that may be due to the fact I’m aware this trilogy is coming to an end, so I’m more desperate to get answers. Luckily, I did have at least one question answered: I now know what Colton did to push him into the BDSM scene. Actually, I’m not quite sure what to think of that situation – I suppose I understand where he’s coming from on an emotional level, but my morals won’t let me completely look over what he did, even if it was an act of love and mercy. Even still, I was thrilled to have my answer, despite another dozen questions popping up. Like I mentioned before, I’m not sure what it was, but I wasn’t as interested. Don’t worry – I still really enjoyed the story and I can’t wait to read the third and final book and uncover all the secrets!

Ry and Jed had an unusual upbringing and this may have had an effect on how they live their lives. Does it really matter? Not if you are enjoying this book! This is just part of the backstory that you learn about as the book develops. You will also learn about why and how Katie left, why she has returned, what her relationship with her father is like, and also how cool her gran is.

There is a lot of action in this book and lots of games played. Part of the realisation that Katie has to make is the difference between pleasure for 'you' and pleasure for 'only me'. Ry and Jed want her to feel pleasure, they get their pleasure from that. Things Katie has seen have given her a jaundiced view so it is something that she works on. They push Katie's boundaries, but they also respect her safewords.

Well written, with plenty of steaminess, and a dash of mystery, this book delivers just what it says in the synopsis. If you don't like ménage or BDSM, then I can pretty much guarantee you won't like this book. If you do like them, then I would have no hesitation in recommending this one for you to try.

Alessia Demachi has left her country of Albania in order to avoid being married to a violent man and is now in London. She is working for Maxim Trevelyan as his cleaner. She comes and does her job and then leaves. When she first spots Mister Maxim naked across his bed, she can't believe her eyes. And he has this wonderful piano in his apartment that she enjoys playing when he is not there. But life is not easy for Alessia and she is constantly looking over her shoulder so she is not found by the people who brought her here and are trying to traffic her.

Maxim has just lost his brother and inherited the keys to the Earldom. This is not the life he wanted, but it is the life he now has. When he meets Alessia, he is at first shocked, since he didn't know she was now working for him and then intrigued by her beauty. Will he be able to maintain the employer/employee relationship, or will this develop into something else?

I know this book isn't a literary masterpiece, but for the most part, I enjoyed it. I wanted to know what was going to happen and when. I liked this a little better than Fifty Shades since it didn't have all the BDSM associated with it. If you like 50 Shades, you should like this one too.

One of my biggest problems with this book is that the main character's name is so much like my daughter's. Other than that, it was a quick read.
