A historical fiction lovers dream. This book is all about getting history right and teaching you not just the well known facts but also the smaller facts that lead to Washington's escape. A picture is painted of how each decision lead to the next and how the Maryland 400 really helped save the day.

Perfect for all ages of historical fiction. This book really gives a truer view while teaching facts that not many may know. I learned things I never knew and am excited to have friends of history read this as well.

this is the first book by this author that ive read and it definitely wont be the last. This book was humorous and sexy. This is a friends to lovers story that you wont want to put down. This is the perfect Halloween story. The story flowed really well and kept me reading till the very last page. The characters were well developed. This is a short story but well worth a read.

Highly recommended

I voluntary reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

I am hard pressed to find anything Carrie Ann Ryan writes that I don’t enjoy. I am not a fan of contemporary romance but I know that Ryan rarely, if ever, disappoints. Inked Expressions has everything you come to love from a Ryan contemporary romance: characters with more depth than the Grand Canyon, a storyline as entertaining as it is romantic, and let’s not leave out the steamy scenes between a couple you’ll root for from page one. Not to mention it is a friends to lovers story which is hands down one of my favorite tropes.

I seem to have a thing for Yaoi--Boys Love--and since I like my M/M Romances, why wouldn't I?

This was kinda cute once it got going. I wasn't sure what it was going to be like but once I started it, I fell into it.

To me, it read like a typical M/M Romance--a friends to lovers sort of thing, only they were step brothers.

I just have to admit I like to see it happen, because I don't always have the best imagination with books, I don't picture my characters in my head like others do. So having the comic strip helps me a lot.

Off to start Brother 2 to see if it's as good as this one.

Since this is the third in the series and emphasizes the story from previous two, I will include my original review.

This is supposed to be a Snow White retelling but I really couldn’t see it. Regardless, it’s an erotic fairytale retelling which is right up my alley. It’s heavy on the erotica while still having enough plot to push the story forward. Normally I would be aggravated that this story is divided into three parts but I knew that going in and already had the rest of the story so I didn’t have to wait for the rest.

I love friends to lovers stories, especially childhood friends. I would like to say I enjoyed the premise to this story but honestly I thought it was stupid. I wish I had better word but there it is. Now you may be saying “but you knew that going in!” Honestly, I was hoping it was going to be a ménage. I guess it was just wishful thinking, because what I got instead was the age old “hey let me ask my male friend how to seduce this other male but wait my friend wants me” trope.

The final in the series is everything you need and more. Even from someone who is bitter that this wasn’t the ménage she was looking for. I couldn’t have been happier with the ending if I wrote it myself. That being said, there were still many things I was aggravated with. There were few ties to Snow White, little shifter elements, and the story was split in three when it could have easily been one whole story.

Overall, the story was enjoyable if you are looking for a friends-to-lovers erotica.

This is a slightly different style of book compared to others of this series. It's a male/male romance. And as opposed to leaping into hardcore man on man sex scenes, there is a lot of focus on the emotions. Don't get me wrong, there were romance scenes involving sex acts and they were written perfectly. But the emotions portrayed in this one kept me hooked til the end and I fell in love with the two lovers in this book.

Well written, as normal. No silly errors tripping me up. Good pace. Showed back story. Brought past characters into this story and showed more character development again.

Loved it.

5/5

Would definitely suggest to friends.

"It seems to me that one thing we should be trying to keep in mind these days is the phrase, “It could be worse.” This book shows us a much-worse time and its tragic effects on a group of tender friends/lovers/artists. We should energetically protect our system, and try to heal the toxic divisiveness afflicting us, and resist the lies being routinely promulgated, from above and on social media, because when a system fails, the victim is human decency – all these dear hearts suddenly living reduced, fearful, degrading lives. We have, as Paul Simon put it, “lived so well, so long” that we may be in danger of forgetting that the results of chaos are real."

Andre and Camille have known each other for a while now. They were both in their friends, Peyton & Lance's wedding. But Camille left the party early and Andre sees no reason to stick around. When he gets home, he's lonely and wants a warm body by his side. He goes on the the app Booty Call and who does he find there buy Camille. He invites her over and one thing leads to another and the next thing you know, they're in bed together and neither one of them is mad about that. But can friends become lovers, or will it ruin the friendship.

Humpany is the 3rd book in the Booty Call Series, and this one I liked. I liked that Andre and Camille had a friendly relationship and didn't just jump in bed every time they saw each other. Camille is the type of girl I would be friends with. She is laid back and knows what she wants.

Another quick read from the Queens of the Quickie.
