A dark secret grips a close-knit community in this Norwegian thriller. High-powered corporate executive Aksel Borgen (Nicolai Cleve Broch), returns from Asia to his rural hometown in Norway, to save an energy firm from bankruptcy. Despite being sentenced and then acquitted for the killing of his high school girlfriend Karine 20 years ago, Aksel is still haunted by his past and some of the villagers still believe he got away with it. The second season digs deeper into exploring the consequences of Karine’s murder.
