It seems all of the ladies of Monterey will have drama to contend with in the new season, as HBO's own synopsis says for Season Two.
"The Golden Globe and Emmy-winning series is a subversive, darkly comedic drama, which will continue to explore the malignancy of lies, the durability of friendships, the fragility of marriage and, of course, the vicious ferocity of sound parenting."
Madeline "confronts the truth of Perry's death and must come to terms with her own marriage and traditional notions of marriage."
Celeste is "reeling from her husband Perry’s death" and "is adrift, but determined to fight for her family and find the woman she once was.”
Jane "will be processing Perry's sudden death in the storyline, while trying to build a new life for herself and her son, Ziggy."
Meanwhile, Renata finds herself as "a woman who will be faced with new challenges in her marriage."
Bonnie "will confront her past while struggling to come to terms with Perry's death." This seems vital as the novel included more information on Bonnie's backstory and coloured her actions towards Perry in greater detail. It will also give Kravitz a chance to display some real acting chops.
Finally, "concerned for the well-being of her grandchildren following her son Perry’s death, Mary Louise arrives in Monterey searching for answers."
It sounds like Perry's actions will continue to have far-reaching consequences, but will the ladies stick together or begin to be torn apart by secrets and personal dramas?
