Based on the true story of Susannah Cahalan and her book by the same name, this movie follows a 21 year old girl, working her dream job when things begin to take a downward spiral. What starts off as flu-like symptoms progress into seizures, psychosis, memory loss and the loss of cognitive and physical abilities. As her family fights for a diagnosis they are confronted with doctors who advise that she be housed in a psychiatric hospital. Not giving up, her parents search for answers where there are no obvious conclusions and each doctor says something different from the last.
