Would you like to avoid walking in the rain when you go out? Check our rain radar and rain graph before you leave so you will never get drenched again!

The Buienradar app contains a 2-, 3- and 24-hour rain radar forecast. The rain radar will show you whether to expect a rain shower. Below the radar is the rain graph. This graph will show you exactly when it is going to rain and how much rainfall is predicted (in millimeters). If you prefer an even more detailed image of your city or town you can press the magnifying glass icon to zoom in.

The Buienradar app is now available for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. By using the watch, you can see in an instance whether rainfall is to be expected. By using the handy widget in your Today screen/view you can check the rain for your current location without having to open the app. You can also make the widget appear with 3D-touch: press the Buienradar app icon a little bit harder in your app overview to make the widget appear instantly.

You can find personalized weather info in the table “Komende 24 uur in” (Next 24-hour weather forecast) for your favorite location (even abroad!).

Besides thunderstorm, snow, sun, wind and temperature maps we also offer wind chill, ground temperature, sun intensity, air pressure, wind direction, gusts, visibility and humidity data, together with the exact times of sunrise and sunset for your location.

Suffering from hay fever? We developed “Pollen radar” to give you an insight in the expected hay fever levels for the next 5 upcoming days (1: low, 10: very high). You can find the Pollen radar by tapping (in the bottom left corner on the Buienradar map), and then tap the dandelion icon.

Nobody is fond of mosquitos. That’s why we developed a “Mosquito radar”, to help you sleep at night by giving you the expected levels of nuisance caused by mosquitos the next 5 days (1: very low, 10: extreme).

You can also easily find the snow depth per skiing and snowboarding location by entering one of the 700 available locations in the search bar. For example, try entering Mayrhofen, Flauchau, Gerlos, Val Thorens, Sölden en Saalbach-Hinterglemm. When scrolling down, you will see the snow depth for this location in the section “Nu in” (Now) (above the times of the sunrise and sundown).

In the section “14-daagse” (14-day forecast: below in the menu bar) you can find the weather forecast (in a graph) for the upcoming 14 days. You can also see a detailed view in the tab “Lijst” and an hourly forecast for the next 7 days.

In the “Alerts” section you can create your own rain alert (free push notification) customized to your daily time schedule and most visited locations so you will receive a warning when rainfall is expected.

If you don’t want to see ads, we also offer the Buienradar Plus plan for 2,29€. You can find this easily in “Instellingen” (“Settings”) and then press “Neem Buienradar Plus” (Get Buienradar Plus).
