The Cineplex Mobile App (the “App’) integrates with this device’s core operating level system applications to allow you to use certain functions within the App. Some mobile App platforms may allow you to opt out of installing certain features of the App prior to or after installation. You do not have to use any of our mobile App features unless you choose to, however, opting out of any or all features may affect the App’s ability to operate effectively.

Personal information: This App does not access personal information from within your mobile device. Any personal information you provide through your mobile device will be transmitted and stored in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Functions within the Cineplex Mobile App
Read Phone Status and Identity
Enables you to call a Cineplex theatre directly from within the mobile application.

Take Pictures and Videos
Enables you to use your phone camera to scan a poster or QR Code which may be part of a special offer or promotion.

GPS location which may be either the approximate location (network-based) or the precise location (GPS and network-based)
Allows the App to determine your location, then show you movie theatres nearest your location.

Full network access, receive data from the internet, view network connections, view WiFi connections
Allows any network related feature in the App, such as social network account integration to link to other Cineplex properties such as Cineplex Connect.

Add/modify calendar events
Allows you to create a calendar event, usually around going to see a movie or special event, and if you choose, share that calendar event with your social networks.

Read the current content storage capability of your USB storage
Allows the App to determine if there is enough room to download the Cineplex magazine to your mobile device.

Find accounts on the device
Allows network account integration within the application.

Control Vibration and prevent phone from sleeping
Enables the video player within your mobile phone to play a movie trailer without interruption.
