CoPE (Copenhagen Pediatric Emergency) app is developed with the intention of assisting the clinician (anesthetist/intensive care physician/emergency physician) in the preparation of acute lifesaving treatment of children in pre-, or in-hospital setting.
Knowing the weight of the patient, the physician is seconds away from full access to the unique feature of CoPE: Single screen overview of all relevant information for the patient.
CoPE provides detailed information in the areas: Normal physiological values, recommended equipment used during initial A-B-C stabilization, recommended drugs and doses and fluid infusion rates.
No need for time consuming scrolling or swiping between screens.
A unique screen is provided for every weight from 3 kg to 28 kg. In this way CoPE covers the age range from newborn to 10 year old.
CoPE app is developed by consultant pediatric anesthesiologist Morten Bøttger and consultant anesthesiologist Michael Friis Tvede from Department of Anaesthesia, Centre of Head and Orthopaedics, Copenhagen University Hospital Rigshospitalet.
CoPE app is an international version of the Danish app AKUT BARN. During fall 2012, this app was the most downloaded medical iOS App in Denmark.
