This unique book opens a window on to the lives of dinosaurs from different periods of the lost world, namely the early dinosaurs, land dinosaurs, wetland dinosaurs, creatures of the deep, and prehistoric flying creatures. The book introduces the creatures of each period or setting in the flat spreads, and then and then tells their stories in the five multi-layered spreads, which are made up of either two or three flaps. The scenes work in tandem with sound effects--activated upon lifting the final layer--to bring the scenes to brilliant life. The book features prehistoric creatures such as the hunters, planteaters, marine and flying reptiles, and insects.
