● Film live-preview
This camera mode feature allows you to see how your photo will look with a film preset applied before you even take the photo. See what your photo would look like if it was taken on real film, and adjust your settings in live-preview mode to take the perfect shot as soon as the shutter clicks.

● Gesture-based white balance and exposure
In most camera apps, auto white balance and auto exposure can go horribly wrong. Filmborn allows you to avoid unnatural skin tones, and poorly exposed images by giving you full control of your white balance and exposure before you take the photo. Easily swipe up/down to adjust exposure and left/right to set the correct white balance. These two key features will allow you to achieve a perfectly exposed photo with perfect skin tones at the moment of capture. Do this with film live-preview turned on and achieve what we call a 'zero-click edit'.

● True-to-Film Presets
Mastin Labs’ proprietary color science makes it so no other app can match film as accurately as Filmborn. We perform intensive side-by-side comparisons between actual film scans from a Fuji Frontier Scanner, and identical digital images shot with the iPhone, to give our users the elegant and timeless look of real film on the iPhone.

● Highlight clipping
Preserve details in your highlights by using our highlight clipping tool. That sky is not white, that sheet of paper is not blank, and your friend really does have individual teeth. Turning on this camera tool will allow you to see in real-time where your whites/highlights are being blown out and replaced by pure white. Swipe down to lower exposure and bring detail back into the highlights.

● Custom Camera kits (additional kits as in-app purchase)
Personalize Filmborn with up to three custom cameras, each perfectly configured for specific uses, such as a street or portrait photography. Choose a viewfinder, virtual lens, and film preset, then press and hold on a kit button to save it. Quickly access and switch between them at a moment's notice. No need for a lens case and fanny pack, you can switch between 3 specialized cameras in just the click of a button.

● Curves (in-app purchase)
All-or-nothing contrast sliders just don't work so we gave you total control of tones. Filmborn's Custom Curves is the photo editing tool you didn't know you needed. This powerful darkroom feature gives you independent control of shadows, midtones, and highlights in your photos, allowing maximum creative control.

● Learn to master real film
Become a photography nerd... you know you want to. Filmborn is designed not only to emulate film but also to educate you about the history of film and how to shoot film. To access this content, press and hold on any film preset button in the camera or darkroom. You’re one of us now.

● Last photo review
No need for fancy thumb work. Preview the last photo you took without leaving camera mode. Press and hold your thumb on the library icon in the bottom right of the camera. The last photo you took will pop up. Release your press to exit the preview.
