Second half of the Salkinds' all-star adaptation of Dumas' famous swashbuckling novel, this time focusing on the relationship between hot-blooded young musketeer d'Artagnan, icily beautiful spy Milady, and her former lover Athos (hence the occasional subtitle Milady's Revenge). Originally intended as the second half of the original movie (which was planned to be much longer) and the cast were rather surprised to discover they'd made two films for the producers while only being paid for one (all actors' contracts now contain what's known as 'the Salkind clause' to prevent this sort of thing happening again).
