Fox 8 is a short story about a fox that learns the human language by sitting outside a bedroom window every night, listening to the parent read bedtime stories. It's the story of how he uses the language and the understanding that comes with it when part of the forest is suddenly cleared in order for a mall to be built. It's funny, sad, sentimental, and thought-provoking, all in just 49 short pages.
