Not enough of Freddy vs. Jason (2 more)
No Kane Hodder as Jason.
Freddy gets 1 kill in the film and Jason gets the rest.
Happy Halloween
Freddy vs. Jason- is one of those movies that are debated for many years. Is it good, is it bad, is it stupid it, is it so bad its good or is it so good its bad. Well actually its all. Let me explain Freddy vs. Jason came out around the time were horror movies were not that great. Freddy vs. Jason pinned two iconic horror charcters and had them fight each other while predictable teenagers are just their, stick in the middle ready to get killes ny either Freedy or Jason. Non of them I really care about. So just want to see Freddy vs. Jason. So when do you see Freddy vs. Jason at the 45 min mark, thats right you have to wait 45 mins to see round 1 of Freddy vs. Jason and than ends after like in 3-5 mins. Than have to wait for the last 15 mins of the movie to see round 2- the final round of Freddy vs. Jason and that last around 5-10mins. So in total for a 90 minute movie called Freddy vs. Jason you have 8-15 mins of Freddy vs. Jason.

Overall this movie is decent, it has good kills, it has two iconic charcters fighting each other and a good halloween movie to watch.

Happy Halloween to all and a good night.

The guiltiest of pleasures
It's always fun and when we get something like this.- two horror icons going toe to toe, but was Freddy vs. Jason ever destined to be a good film?

No. No it was not. Freddy vs. Jason is pretty damn terrible.
The human cast are hugely unlikable - but I imagine that's the point, as when the slaughter begins, it's easy to find yourself rooting for the killers.

The effects have aged pretty badly, but for all it's shortcomings, it's definitely the kind of movie I will always watch when it's on. Its fun enough to be enjoyable.

It's hard to imagine anyone but Robert Englund in the role of Freddy, so it's nice to see him once again in a more modern film before he was recast.
In terms of horror - it's not a particularly scary film, but its pretty gory - and the kills are pretty ludicrous.

Worth a watch just for what it is.

Freddy Krueger is in hell and he's come to the realization that everyone has forgotten about him and the legacy he had left behind when he died. So he formulates a plan to get people to remember and fear Freddy once again, but he isn't strong enough to do it alone. He resurrects Jason Voorhees by pretending to be Pamela Voorhees and tells Jason to go to Elm Street. Once there, Jason does the dirty work and Freddy Krueger's name starts to spread. The more fear that spreads, the stronger Freddy gets. Things seem to be progressing in Freddy's favor until Jason unintentionally steals a kill from Freddy and winds up setting the stage for a battle between two horror icons that fans have been anticipating for at least a decade.

After so much buildup and fans waiting so long for this epic confrontation to take place, there really was no way it could live up to the hype. With that being said, it isn't a terrible film. Just disappointing. It really feels like more of a Nightmare On Elm Street film than a Friday the 13th film. So, right off the bat, that gets to me since I wasn't a big fan of the ANOES franchise and I'm completely biased towards Friday the 13th as a whole. Jason is also suddenly afraid of water and emotional, which hurts the character overall. While this may be the biggest Jason to date, he certainly comes off as the weakest. Freddy seems to be two steps ahead of Jason throughout most of the film, as well. While it makes sense overall, the F13 fan in me would've liked to have seen Jason have a bit more control offensively in the film. Overall, I think the most disappointing factor of this film is that a sequel never materialized even though the film did fairly strong numbers at the box office and on DVD. A few of the endings that were scrapped would have been amazing compared to the inconclusive one we wound up with. It's just a shame because a follow up is nothing more than a dream sequence at this point.

Much better than most of the Friday the 13th films
Slasher fan heaven
A pretty cool hack'n'slash film. Almost tongue in cheek at times, it could almost be a spoof of both series of films. The effects are cool and there is plenty of blood for gore fans. Nice to see a recent film starring these two cult film characters giving the fans what they like.
