"And then I’d have to say Godfather II. Just for super quality film. Whenever you come in in the middle and some TV channel is showing it, you have to watch it. You can’t turn it off. It’s so good, it’s so compelling, that no matter how many times, you have to watch it again. I wonder if young people know the Godfather films."

"With these three [Coppola’s] a great storyteller. Godfather: Part II, I just think it’s a master class in acting, production design, directing, lighting, composition. I think that if you were a film student, you’ve got — the way he tells the story, it’s masterful storytelling. And it never ever seems to disappoint."

Classic
An all time classic. It feels like 2 films in one with the flash backs of how it all started in the first place. The best Mafia film around.

An epic film
The best sequel ever and manages to top the original. Great story telling, one of the best films ever made. Usually in the Top 3 films of all time.

A companion piece in the truest sense of the term, The Godfather Part II garnered as much adulation as its predecessor, if not more.

"I would say [I like it] more so than [All the President’s Men], because I sort of luxuriated in the ambition of it all: telling two stories simultaneous from different eras. I don’t think that had ever been done before. It was also the first R-rated movie I saw. I saw that, and in the evening I saw Chinatown. So I saw two R-rated movies when I was 12 years old. That was quite a Christmas vacation. I remember quite distinctly that my dad and I also saw The Conversation, and we saw Lenny and The Towering Inferno. We saw all five movies over that Christmas vacation. That was really great."
