Low-budget sci-fi movie. Disaster strikes a NASA mission when the space shuttle has a close encounter with a UFO, and an astronaut is killed. The alien ship makes a forced landing and is taken to a secure location by the authorities, kept under wraps for political reasons by the president's chief-of-staff (Vaughn). Meanwhile, the surviving shuttle crew, having been blamed for the accident, start their own search for the truth...
