2004 | Adventure | Comedy

88 mins

If you like your comedy extreme and your action twisted, buckle up for this epic story of deep inhaling and sizzling hot buns! Straitlaced, hard-working Harold (John Cho) and his roommate, the rebellious, hard-partying Kumar (Kal Penn), have only one thing in common—a serious case of the munchies.

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle follows the life-changing (and mind-altering) journey of Korean-American investment banker Harold Lee and Indian-American medical-school candidate Kumar Patel.

Both underdogs, Harold and Kumar decide to spend what would have been an otherwise uneventful Friday night satisfying an oddly intense urge for White Castle hamburgers. However, finding a White Castle proves a highly difficult task, and the two friends wind up on an epic road trip of deep thoughts, deeper inhaling, and enough half-baked, politically incorrect philosophizing to outweigh a White Castle value meal.

Starring John Cho, Kal Penn, Eddie Kaye Thomas, David Krumholtz and Emmy and Golden Globe-nominee Neil Patrick Harris as Himself.

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle consistently nails that laugh because it is, quite simply, good, dumb, stoner fun. At least, the humor is dumb; the heroes, quite refreshingly, are not.

Original Score: 3.5 out of 5

Great late night comedy that will have you in stitches. Following the journey of Harold and Kumar who set out for White Castle, when they get the 'munchies'. Completely OTT, what's not to love!!! (0 more)

Crazy road trip for two stoners out to satisfy their post drug hunger pangs.
Full of nuts one liners and strange Cameo's, it's a fun one to catch if you have just come in from a night on the tiles and need something comedic and fun but forgettable to watch.
It's very close to that other nuts stoner movie Dude where's my car.

I quite enjoy films about a totally weird string of events that occur during a road trip or one wild night like this. This reminded me of After hours crossed with Dude where's my car? A stoner comedy that has a bit of something for most people and a good chemistry between the leads. It has a few good cast cameos too. Funny enough for a watch, not sure about being a classic. Oh and over here (UK) it's called Harold and Kumar get the munchies!
