Damo Suzuki is a Japanese musician who has been living in Germany since the early 1970s and is best known as the former lead singer of the seminal German krautrock group Can. I Am Damo Suzuki (named after the tribute by post-punk cult band The Fall, released in the mid-80s period when our subject returned to music) tells the singular tale of a musical enigma in his own words. This unique first-person narrative shows the other side of the coin: the sometimes startling personal odyssey of the enduringly active voice of Can. Now in his seventh decade, Damo is as contemporary a figure as ever. He is available to promote the book, which will receive publicity at his sell-out club performances.
