Published to coincide with a new permanent Science Museum gallery opening in September 2014, it examines the development of information and communications networks from the nineteenth century to the present day. It includes excerpts from unique interviews with the BBC team who created the world's first global satellite broadcast in 1967, soldiers who used GPS during the first Gulf war in 1991, and business people from Cameroon whose lives have been transformed by the economic possibilities of mobile telephony since 1997.
