"Issues" is the debut single by American singer and songwriter Julia Michaels, recorded for her 2017 EP Nervous System and served as the first track. Michaels co-wrote the song with her frequent writing partner, Justin Tranter, as well as the song's producers, Benny Blanco and Stargate. It was released on January 13, 2017 through Republic Records.[1] "Issues" is a confessional downtempo love song which Michaels has described as a raw ode to her own anxieties.[2] The song received a Grammy Award nomination for Song of the Year at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards.[3]
