This book is the Sunday Times Top Ten Bestseller. It is a Richard & Judy Book Club Choice Best Thriller, Ibooks Best of 2015. It was shortlisted for the Ian Fleming Silver Dagger, 2015. (Lee Child). 'Hello there.' I looked at the pale, freckled hand on the back of the empty bar seat next to me in the business class lounge of Heathrow airport, then up into the stranger's face. 'Do I know you?' Delayed in London, Ted Severson meets a woman at the airport bar. Over cocktails they tell each other rather more than they should, and a dark plan is hatched - but are either of them being serious, could they actually go through with it and, if they did, what would be their chances of getting away with it? Back in Boston, Ted's wife Miranda is busy site managing the construction of their dream home, a beautiful house out on the Maine coastline. But what secrets is she carrying and to what lengths might she go to protect the vision she has of her deserved future?

A sublimely plotted novel of trust and betrayal, The Kind Worth Killing will keep you gripped and guessing late into the night.

Bouncing between different narrators, this books succeeds where other books fail. It keeps you on track and engaged. I didn't ever feel lost with the story's flow. I was hoping for a different ending but, I appreciated the twists and turns, the fact that nothing turns out as predicted, and that Swanson got me to sympathize with (two of) the main characters so easily even though they were planning a double homicide.

What a page turner! Yes the plot is a bit ridiculous and yes the characters lives are a bit bizarre, but you can't deny that this book is gripping the whole way through!

The twists and turns in this book are never ending and they're all completely shocking, though one in particular strikes you more than others. I'm definitely going to look into more Peter Swanson books after reading this one, I think he's an excellent writer and if he continues to write books as good as this I can easily see him becoming one of my favourite authors.

It would be hard to describe this book without giving too many of its surprises away, so I am just going to summarize the very beginning. A man meets a woman in an airport lounge in England, on the flight home, the 2 wind up discussing the possibility of killing his unfaithful wife and her lover. By the time the plane lands, they have the beginnings of an actual plan worked out. Where things go from there I cannot say, but do be prepared for a chain of events that are a lot less straightforward than that description might suggest. Twists and surprises are scattered liberally throughout this tale of revenge, which pulls the reader in pretty much from the first page. The characters, while understandably a bit hard to like, are never less than interesting, which only helps to add to the suspense when they find themselves in potentially dangerous situations. My only real complaint would be that the ending felt a bit flat. It's not to say that it's bad, rather that it didn't feel climactic enough considering all that had transpired before it. Still, that shouldn't stop you from reading this otherwise excellent and suspenseful novel.

This was an AMAZING audiobook!!!! Multiple fantastic narrators! It had me walking from my car into my building with my phone pressed to my ear!!

The synopsis sounds so juvenile, and the story itself and writing definitely began with a borderline "absurd" feel. However, the author constructed the book in a way that made me unable to stop listening to the story unfold. The book is told in first person and alternates viewpoints in each chapter. There are several plot twists that keep the reader's attention. The main character is a psychopath that the reader semi-likes due to the fact that she continuously tries to justify her actions throughout the novel.
