Klaverjassen is a Dutch card playing game, similar to Belote. It is played by four people, two against two. The partners are sitting opposite to each other.
With this app you play with three computer players.
A match consists of 16 rounds.
The game uses 32 cards (seven, eight, nine, ten, jack, queen, king and ace of 4 suits hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs). This deck is shuffled and delt. So each player gets eight cards.
Before a round is started, trump suit is being chosen. A trump suit can be determined in two ways:
- At random: The computer decides trump suit. The user may play or pass;
- User choice: By turn a user chooses the trump suit.
Then a round starts. By turn the players throw a card. The first card thrown, determines the suit. The other players must follow the suit if possible. When four cards are played, the player with the highest card wins the trick. This player may start for the next trick.
The game supports two variants Amsterdam type and Rotterdam type.
