Stéphane Ruiz, a policeman newly transferred to Paris, is assigned to the special Street Crime Unit in Montfermeil, an underprivileged district of the city. He discovers the tensions between different criminal gangs and religious groups in the area, and is concerned by his colleagues, who are arrogant loose cannons. A petty theft spins out of control causing tensions to rise both in the neighbourhood and Ruiz's team. (There is no singing.)
