Ahmed reconnects theory to daily life experience in this book about feminist living. Ahmed shortens some of the distance often found between theory and experience by explaining to readers the way daily life experiences generate feminist theory--rather than the other way around. She promotes living a feminist life both at home and at work, relying both on her own personal experiences/academic studies and the existing scholarship. Her focus is to bridge a gap she believes academia sometimes helps create between feminism and personal experience by bringing readers' attentions to problems but within and without feminist living, theory, and scholarship.
