A young, poor boy that loves to read is not allowed to use the city's library based on his family's social economic status. He does sneak in, but usually gets caught and is kicked out. A group of specialty librarians from the large, Central Library come to look for something that they heard was in the area. While there, they interact with the boy, and are able help him with some things that come up with the assistance of their magical powers.
