MapCog Spectra is a test which helps to detect if a person has an attentional disorder.
MapCog Spectra (MCS) measures attentional lapses in ADHD and other neurodevelopmental disorders not only in children but also in adults. MCS is based on the latest research on attentional systems detected by brain imaging. In addition attentional lapses are seen in Alzheimer´s disease and also in traumatic brain injuries, epilepsy and so on.
As a short screening test, the MCS is extremely well suited as a first-line assessment before further decision of evaluation of the underlying causes of attentional difficulties in specialist clinics or by general practitioners.
The test is conducted on an iPad is completely automated and takes about five minutes to conclude. It is done orally (in any language), with no requirements of a qualified psychologist/doctor to monitor the testing and results are objective and immediately computed.
