Moonraker (1979)

1979 | Action | Sci-Fi

126 mins France United Kingdom United States

Eleventh Bond movie sees Roger Moore's 007 pursue space-obsessed villain Michael Lonsdale through California, Venice, Brazil, and then into outer space. Hardly any of the plot of the novel survives, but this was the most successful Bond film up to that point when it was first released. The final film to feature Bernard Lee. Mounted at short notice to replace For Your Eyes Only after a film about stars and a war proved unexpectedly popular a couple of years earlier.
