Meet Freddie Archer! Inspired by one of the first real-life columnists at The New Yorker, Freddie writes a column about the glamorous world of New York in the 1920s.
Bony Johnson is the son of a woman who helped raise Freddie. He’s twelve-years old, owner of the sweetest smile in Manhattan, and in real danger. Bony has been running numbers for Red Garrett. Not necessarily dangerous, except a thug has been robbing Red’s boys.
When a child is murdered, it’s up to Freddie to keep Bony safe and catch a killer, all while making sure she doesn’t miss the deadline for her next column.
