A working understanding of neuropathology is necessary for both primary clinicians and researchers for the interpretation of patient symptoms and research findings in the context of pathological processes, but existing texts often do not offer the focus needed by this audience on symptoms and lab studies as they as they relate to histologic examination of tissue. Neuropathology for Neuroscience includes all the major topics found in a typical neuropathology text, but differentiates itself by providing a thorough overview of the morphological background of neurological disorders for researchers and clinicians who do not specialize in pathology as well as a strong focus on the clinicopathological aspects. The volume also offers strong coverage of brain imaging and advances in molecular pathology and genetics. This work is particularly timely given the amount of neuropathological research currently taking place. It is critical that resources such as this are available to provide in-depth information for clinicians and researchers working in various disciplines to enhance communication and collaboration.
