Pa... and the Law of Unintended Consequence: How the West Has Won with Very Little Help from Pa

2016 | Humor & Comedy

Pa is an ill-educated farmer, living in the west of America at the turn of the century. Unable to read or write, he has never read a book and believes that life experience is more valuable than the written word. However, he has a knack for building and likes to invent things, ostensibly to make life easier, but he is often unaware of how dangerous his inventions can be...As the small community where he started farming begins to increase in size, Pa becomes widely known. Unfortunately, this is mainly due to his failure to properly think through his inventions, and the catastrophes he causes as a result. His wife and family prefer a simple and quiet life, and Pa's antics begin to drive them all to despair. However, Pa is rather naive, and when his projects cause grief to either his family or the community, he is unable to pinpoint the problem. He knows, with the total assurance of a self-made man, that the disastrous end result isn't his fault, and must be the fault of somebody else! From accidentally sending his newly-built privy tumbling into a canyon, to destroying an entire fleet of aeroplanes, Pa believes that no matter what happens, it was a good idea at the time.

(Just like an unsinkable ocean liner called the Titanic...) Pa...And the Law of Unintended Consequence is a hilarious tale that follows Pa through the ups and downs of his inventing career. Whatever happens, it's sure to be an adventure!
