There are many people who believe that the position of the planets play an important role in determining the behaviours of both the Sun and climate related events here on Earth because of the tidal forces that act on the Sun in the same way as the Moon affects the tides here on Earth.

Quakescanner is an easy to use mobile app that models the position of solar system objects and indicates the approximate strength of the resulting gravitational tidal forces acting upon both the Earth and the Sun for a given day. It is designed for anyone who is interested in correlating earthquakes, El Nino and natural disasters with the positions of planets of the solar system and solar activity that may affect earth.

Manually trying to keep track of 7 planets, the Sun and the Earth is hard. Trying to calculate which planets are aligned and at what time is time consuming and error prone. QUAKESANNER can scan an entire year of the life of the solar system in a matter of seconds and build a hotspot readout that shows you when these alignments occur.

The app has 5 sensitivity settings that indicate 1-5 (Weak [Light Green] to Strongest [Bright Red]) for both the Sun (SOL) and Earth (Gr). Using the 16 segment indicator the app helps the user visually see the approximate tidal interaction of Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter,Mars, Earth, Venus, Mercury and Sun.

Quakescanner sports two Soar Tide Strength indicators - one for the combined tidal force of all planets from Neptune to Mercury and one that models only Uranus and the inner planets. The Solar Tide Strength indicators track the combined and individual tidal forces constantly and try to detect sharp deviations.

Quakescanner tries to spot significant changes in tidal forces acting upon the Sun calculated as some planets increase in velocity as they follow elliptical orbits. From these changes and the combined individual solar tidal effects of individual planets on the Sun, Quakescanner offers an indication of when these fluctuations occur and the range of the deviation. The resulting scale from 20% to 99% can be used to identify the most significant aberrations and compare these dates with historical events from year 200 onwards.

View the planets on a realtime solar system visualisation. You can switch quickly to solar system view quickly to see how the indicators correlate with planetary positions.

PLEASE NOTE THAT EARTHQUAKE PREDICTION IS NOT AN EXACT SCIENCE. THE RESULTS PROVIDED IN THE APP ARE FOR RESEARCH AND INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND WHILST EVERY EFFORT HAS BEEN MADE TO ENSURE ACCURACY THEY SHOULD NOT BE USED TO MAKE ACCURATE PREDICTIONS AND EVALUATIONS. THE USER SHOULD ALWAYS CONSULT OFFICIALLY PUBLISHED ADVICE REGARDING SPECIFIC HAZZARDS AND WEATHER CONDITIONS IN THEIR REGION.
