A young African-American couple in Ohio are nearing the end of a not very successful first date when they are stopped by a racist white cop. Events spin out of control and they are forced to kill the man in self-defence, but know they won't be believed and are forced to go on the run together. They find themselves the focus of events they would never have anticipated, becoming unwilling symbols of injustice.
