Reed’s Point starts with Mark Reed sitting on the bench made by his ancestors. He looks over the beautiful valley below the point, all decked with autumn colors. Even so, he only sees darkness. For his heart is breaking. Basil Whitfield thinks a lot of Mark and his family. He has gotten very close to them over the twelve years he has lived in Reedsville. But Basil has a mysterious past that only Sheriff Jedidiah Newman knows about. Can the tools that Basil could bring to bear be enough to set the town free from the mystery, suspense, and darkness? Leroy Belding is a common simple man who rides his bike around gathering bottles and cans from the side of the road. Leroy is a happy, contented soul with the ability to spin long yarns for entertainment.
