Axis have downgraded themselves from a quintet to a quartet, with guitarist Dylan Downey now handling vocal duties as well. But don’t think that fewer members somehow means the Floridian band’s intensity has waned: if ever there was proof that less is more, this is it.
Take, for example, “Fear and Impulse,” the new single from Shift. This song will rip your face off, pour acid all over the muscles underneath, re-attach the face, and then shit directly into your nostrils. And when that’s done, it’s gonna tie you to back of its car and drag you behind while it heads over to the Circle K.
