I very much enjoyed reading this book. Lois Lowry is an amazing writer and I absolutely love the way she builds her world without completely explaining everything. Perhaps it is unfair to not give it five stars but I can’t help but compare all the books in the series to The Giver which is one of my all-time favorites. Having read the whole series I love being able to see the connections between books, the connections in this one being stronger than the others. My only complaint is that now I want more. I was happy with the ambiguous ending to The Giver but now that Lowry has answered some questions about what happened to characters, I find myself needing the rest.

Wow, just wow.

Lois Lowry has weaved yet another wonderful story. This book takes the characters from "The Giver," "Gathering Blue, and "Messenger" and formed a truly amazing book. This novel offers the reader answers to many questions that have been left unanswered.

There were points during this book that dragged but all in all it was fantastic. I am pleasantly surprised with the novel. I never realized how much this series has meant to me until I reached the last 90 pages. I didn't want to read the rest because then the novel would be over.

All in all I highly recommend this book to anyone who has wondered what happened to Jonas and Gabe.

I might have to reread the whole series again.

I really enjoyed this book because it tied up the loose ends and wove the stories the stories together. This book really ties up the loose ends and helps put the pieces of the puzzle together. After reading this, everything that you've read finally makes sense.

As someone who had long wondered what happened to the Jonas and Gabe at the end of The Giver, I'm glad to finally have an answer.
