A fine collection of colour photographs from the 1950s and 1960s around the Southern. Along with the usual selection of Bulleids we can enjoy a wide range of Standards and Maunsell designs along with many of the surviving locomotives from the pre-grouping companies. Some of the fascinating specials are seen in addition, which brought further engines somewhat alien to the Southern Region in the days of regular steam. The author as a real fan of Southern steam has located some absolute classic views to ensure this volume will be a real favourite.
