It celebrates the 150th birthday of the Playhouse Theatre in its original incarnation as the Star Music Hall in a story of onstage magic, backstage deception, new (and old) love, a Dadtardly plot and all manner of drama and mayhem in the wings. Michael Wynne returned to the Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse with The Star in December 2016 after the sell out success of Hope Place, 2014.
