Stolen: A Letter to My Captor reviews from people you don't follow
Very, very interesting. I had never read anything like Stolen before. An actual letter to your captor, oh how strong you must be to not only write to such a person, but to recall everything that happened to you and write it with such honesty. After reading this, I really hope I never get kidnapped: Gemmy had me starting to like her kidnapper. As she slowly and unconsciously slipped into the Stockholm syndrome, I felt myself slip as well. In fact, by the end, I was rooting for Ty and actually began to like him. Once I finished reading, I couldn't believe I felt the way I did. Even now, I'm still a bit confused about how I should feel about him. Very, very good read!

I have owned this book for quite sometime and I just now got around to reading it. The plot really intrigued me and Iremember picking up the book at Barnes & Noble years ago.
The characters were really interesting and I really liked how Lucy Christopher captured the internal dialog that took place in this book. Ultimately I would have liked to have known more about Ty and his life.
For the most part, the characters were interesting and the plot kept my attention. It was a little slow to read but in the end it was worth pushing through.

This book tells the story of Gemma, a 16 year old girl who is taken from a coffee shop in Bangkok airport by a mysterious guy. Part of her recognizes him which is why she agrees to approach him in the first place. That's when the horror & beauty of her captivity begins.
The book is written as a letter to Ty which the reader is not really, entirely able to tell until the very last pages. It is an interesting concept and a very easy read. There is wonderful description throughout the book. The author does a great job getting Gemma's emotions across... emotions that are all over the place. Sometimes they have you feeling awful for her & sometimes even for Ty.
My biggest issue with this book was the ending. It just leaves you hanging & I hate that!! I don't want to say much more & ruin it because it is worth the read.
