T's family isn't exactly what you would call the perfect picture. His mother has been absent since he was born and his father works his fingers to the bone at all hours of the day and night at a small, local bar, scraping together the money to give T the best life he can afford. T and his father, Charlie, get by and grow close over a shared love of martial arts and fighting technique. By the time T is a young adult, he's a force to be reckoned with. Their contented lives are soon to take a turn, however, when T loses his self-control at school - much to Charlie's disappointment - and he finds himself at the mercy of the justice system. Now on a different track of life, T must work out how to navigate his way through a system that automatically thinks of him as nothing more than a thug and Charlie is forced to adjust to life without his son. With T's propensity to lose control, the path back to normality might be harder to follow than either of them first thought...
