1963 | Thriller

Third season of The Avengers; the final one made on video-tape. For this series Honor Blackman was promoted to full co-star status with Patrick Macnee. Essentially it is the same mixture of 'straight' espionage and crime drama and slightly more whimsical episodes, but there are some full-on comedies as the season progresses. A number of Brian Clemens' episodes were remade on film and in colour for season 5.
