Low-budget B-movie, made by the owner of a drive-in theatre chain back-to-back with The Killer Shrews. The people of a small rural town find they are sharing the neighbourhood with a gila monster of atypical proportions, and the attendees of the local hop find themselves in peril. Can the local hot rod gang help out? The role of the gila monster is played by a Mexican beaded lizard. Remade for TV in 2012.
