In rural India, a tiny runt goat kid is given to an old farmer to raise. The goat is so frail that the farmer and his wife aren't sure that it will survive. Giving it round the clock care, they struggle to care for it, while struggling, themselves. The little goat brings them surprising joy. However, for this little goat, there is a lot of danger that it faces each day. This is a story of the natural world, told in the setting of rural India.
