2010 | Fiction & Poetry
Balthazar Jones is a Beefeater at the Tower of London. He lives there with his wife and 181 year old tortoise. Along with some odd and eccentric characters that also live and work at the Tower, he spends his days giving tours and watching for pickpockets. One day, he is tasked with setting up a zoo inside the Tower grounds to house exotic animals that have been gifted to the Queen. Everything goes as one would expect, until of course, some animals escape, the giraffes are stolen, and others are not getting along.
