The Things Men Do

2013 | Fiction & Poetry

Cornel Toma, a super-hunk Romanian national, is strutting his stuff on a temporary working visa in sunny Australia. An incurable womaniser, he's sleeping with his boss, he's toying with a young Czech beauty who's mad about him and he has no qualms in taking other "dames" to bed whenever the opportunity presents itself. Kate is gorgeous and smart and after a few bottles of wine, she's in bed with him too. 24 hours later, Toma's life is in tatters. Kate has vanished, feared kidnapped, and the police are after him. With his Australian visa coincidentally expiring just when he meets Kate, Toma runs. The last thing he wants is deportation to Romania. But that could be the least of his worries. On the run he teams up with an old Romanian friend. All good, except that the friend has a drop-dead gorgeous wife: Remy. But Remy is not what she seems...
