Using GPS and cell phone coverage - TrekSafe provides a line of communication with friends and family when you want it; and it alerts multiple contacts of your last known location when you need it, all with the push of a button.

Use the HELP function in the event of an emergency or when you feel threatened and can't talk, notifying multiple contacts of your GPS location and that you need assistance. Use the SAFE function to advise multiple contacts that you're safe and well - ideal when you're too busy to talk or travelling abroad, and you just want to send a quick SMS to let all your family members know you're ok. Your recipients can open the link attached to each message, and view your location on their iPhone, iPad or desktop computer.

TrekSafe will save you time sending multiple SMS messages to multiple contacts.

You must have cellphone coverage to send preset messages, and you must have data enabled to send emails, twitter & facebook messsages.

Treksafe is designed to send preset messages, which include your GPS coordinates to your designated contact/s.

Whether you're hiking or biking, you can also use TrekSafe to save your tracks as a .kml file. The .kml can be easily emailed, so the end user can view your track on their iPhone or Desktop PC.

The list of applications of TrekSafe is endless. Use it at work, as an early notification system to keep your colleagues informed of live events. TrekSafe even comes with a built-in personal alarm, to let people around you know when you're in danger.

In a critical emergency, TrekSafe could save your life. In many disaster situations, casualties often can't talk due to injury or exhaustion; the built-in personal alarm function can be used to alert your rescuers that you're alive and direct them to your approximate location.

Getting Started; You'll need to enable your cell phones GPS or Location Services.

Start by clicking on the SETTINGS tab at the bottom of the main screen. Edit your personal default messages, contact numbers and email address and you're good to go.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
