Twenty-One Truths About Love

2019 | Fiction & Poetry

A man is running a bookstore that isn't doing well. However, he hasn't had the guts to tell his wife yet. Instead, he tries to figure out ways to keep the financial downfall from coming without having to deal with the reality. He just really doesn't want to tell his wife, or feel like a failure. He lives his seemingly boring life, trying to keep his head above water, when they find out that his wife is pregnant. He needs to figure out what to do to keep his family safe, and in good financial standing, even the his desperation. His story is told through lists that he writes each day, which weave his life together in very honest, human, and sometimes funny ways.
