'Twisted Angels' focusses on bold and experimental poetry from Brazil: Concrete poets, MixLit, poems made from google collages and classic poetry. Brazilian poets featured include Angelica Freitas whose recent poetry collection, 'Um utero e do tamanho de um punho', was nominated for the Portugal Telecom Prize. Also Nicolas Behr, and new translations of the preeminent Brazilian poet Carlos Drummond de Adrade. It's powerful, exciting and not for the faint-hearted. Jane Draycott translates Henri Michaux, Cuban exile Raul Rivero's prison poems in new translations by David Shook, Pier Paulo Pasolini's poems on Roman night-life, South Korean poet Kim Hyesoon and Moniza Alvi's new translations of Tsvetaeva's poetry are just a few of the many highlights.
