This book chronicles the windmills of Norfolk, including many which still survive and others that have disappeared. The county has among the most extensive windmill remains in Britain but it is not widely known that Norfolk was once home to some of the world's largest. Windmills of Norfolk Past & Present includes much information not currently available in printed form. It records the often forgotten record-breaking giants of the past together with a host of present day survivors that can be visited or viewed. In recent years a number of mills have been restored - sometimes to full working order - by windmill trusts, councils and private owners.
