1970 | Thriller
89 mins United Kingdom
A Chinese-Mexican power broker (Mason) and a hippy aspiring writer (Bridges) in Hong Kong find themselves caught up in various schemes to acquire the blueprints of a new missile defence system. Midway through proceedings the Buddha uses the light of his third eye to make Mr Go a reformed character looking to help people rather than exploit them.
According to Burgess Meredith's autobiography, all involved had a really great time making the film and spent most of the production off their faces. The producer ran away with the negatives, leaving Meredith to pay all the hotel bills, and when the film eventually resurfaced an entirely new plotline had appeared which the original writers could not make sense of. Most of this can be discerned from the actual movie. AKA The Third Eye.
