GameCritics (290 KP) rated ARMS in Video Games

I’m nowhere near ready to take on the game’s hardest difficulty levels, but “Arms” is the first fighting game to pique my interest since “Super Smash Bros” in 2014

Unrealistic Ideals explained realistically
I am going to waste no time in getting into this book review.
This book is incredibly brilliant.
Period.
It has played with every single one of my emotions. It has twisted at my heartstrings and I still don't entirely realise how it's done that.

The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated Running in the Family in Books
Oct 5, 2020
In 1978 and again in 1980, author Michael Ondaatje went to visit the island of his birth, Sri Lanka. This book chronicles his visits and tells the stories of his homeland and ancestors in the most poetic and beautifully written memoir ever. The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated Marching to Zion in Books
Oct 7, 2020
During the early part of the 20th century, despite slavery having been long over, equality was still far in the future, especially when it came to interracial couples, and even more so if one of them was Jewish. BookCritics (259 KP) rated They Both Die At The End in Books
Sep 11, 2017
This is a book about LIFE if you’re willing to look past the title. There’s always a silver lining to Adam Silvera’s books, your heart will be broken by the end but you may also find yourself with a new perspective

GameCritics (290 KP) rated Tyranny: Bastard's Wound in Video Games
Sep 13, 2017
Bastard’s Wound is an impressive piece of DLC as it takes the choice-heavy gameplay of Tyranny and seamlessly weaves it into the previously-made choices by the player. Whether or not this content is essential depends on how much someone enjoyed Tyranny

The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated Nora Webster in Books
Oct 5, 2020
Recently widowed Nora isn't sure about anything anymore. She has her children and her home and family, but she doesn't know much about being herself. Now that she's lost the man she loved for so long, she no longer has any choice but to finally find out. Read my review of this beautiful portrait of grief and strength, here https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2015/09/12/becoming-nora/
What would make a 19th century woman write such a marvelous horror story that to this day, her book is the first one we think of when we think of the ultimate monster? To find out, read my review of this fascinating historical fiction novel that focuses on Mary Shelley, the author of the book "Frankenstein" https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2015/09/05/the-monsters-within/

Kaysee Hood (83 KP) rated Murder Has Nine Lives in Books
Sep 21, 2018
Murder Has No Lives
Jaine's mystery did not live up to the back cover, which is disappointing as there was so much potential. What could have been was tossed out for a subplot and the whole ending was rushed as if the author remembered what she was suppose to be writing about.

The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated The Last Train to London in Books
Oct 5, 2020
4.75/5 to be precise! Author Meg Waite Clayton’s newest novel is a biographical, historical, women’s fiction novel about Geertruida Wijsmuller, aka “Tante Truus” who was instrumental in getting thousands of children out of Nazi Germany via the Kindertansport. This powerful and important novel was just released and I hope you’ll read my #bookreview of it on my blog now. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2019/09/13/saving-a-whole-world/
